*Taken from ITGFreak mainly*

Apparently Roxor released an R2 patch for ITG PC. However, the crazy part about it is that it not only comes with an ITG2 skin, but it comes with every single ITG2 song as well, and includes survival and the ITG2 marathons. From the looks of it, it seems that all the banners received overhals as well, as they look completely different in screenshots, and there are several graphical changes to the interface as well

I think the ITG3 rerates are in affect to, one of the screens shows ! expert as an 11, someone said DCode was a 9, so I'm guessing Summer is a 12? Baby Baby and Habanera now have expert single steps too.

More info about the patch here-
http://roxorgames.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2472 (patch is 562MB)

Screenshots-

Honestly, I think it's fucking sweet Roxor did this, and it almost makes me want to buy the game.

Yeah, I saw that.

I think SOMETHING big must be up at Roxor, between Konami and Kid Whatever (more likely the former), between them pulling ITG3 completely from AMOA and not talking about it whatsoever, and then immediately basically releasing ITG2 as a free add on instead of a separate game that they could make money off of. There's been a few other things that have happened (idk if I can talk about them), that's really made me question the future of ITG period.

I've said this before, but seeing "Konami Presents: In the Groove" in the next 18-24 months would not suprise me in the least.

If I were put in his position I'd consider legal action too. Now I don't think it'll be a lawsuit because (I hope) Roxor will pay him what he's owed.

But.

The fact that it may have taken a public declaration from the artist to even make Roxor consider paying him raises a lot of red flags. He says they've ignored him for five months now. At least. ITG1's been out for well over a year and he's not paid up for those. I can imagine they've not paid him his due for ITG2, ITGPS2, ITGPC, etc...

If nothing else they've lost an artist. I can't say he put out music I really enjoyed playing on ITG but that's really not important. If they're having trouble keeping the books in order to get their licencees paid, what else could be going on internally? As Dave said, why was ITG3 pulled from the game show with no explanation? As someone who enjoys playing ITG2 it's concerning. Maybe it's doomsaying, maybe it isn't.

I was talking to amber just yesterday actually about what dave was saying -- between the pending lawsuit against konami and "having to" withdraw from AMOA or whatever (as well as a few more tidbits of info that I probably shouldn't mention), there's something big going on internally.

As far as ITG is concerned, I'm going to be the one to say that I'm fine with ITG2 R16 because of hacking.
I *KNOW* that a lot of you agree with that.

When I say buy, I mean acquire the game in some fashion and install it on my PC.

I am wondering if ITG3 will come out at all because of this. I think the Konami lawsuit is finally hitting them.

I think this pretty much confirms that ITG2 will never have an "official" CS release for ps2 like ITG1. With this, more people will buy ITGPC, and Roxor will make more money with the same software instead of releasing another game that would sell craptastically, leading them to lose MORE money. Besides, it's a fact that they can't compete with SNCS, I hate sounding like a fanboy but with SNCS, Konami raised the bar to a whole new level.

Yeah, someone said the lawsuit is coming up in January. Konami is obviously going to do something about it. Hopefully they just ask for money and then ask for like a royalty fee or something so they can atleast keep ITG. It sucks that they don't realize that most of their fanbase has hopped on the ITG train and are bored with DDR. If they are that greedy, just sue them for like a million dollars, ask for a royalty fee, and then sell shitty home versions so that their 10 year old girl fanbase continues to contribute to their fanbase.
